Shipping Methods are the methods that your customers can use to send their products back to your warehouse. For each shipping method, you can add an amount that will be charged in case of a return shipment or an exchange shipment.
Any order service that contains at least one exchange is called an exchange order. This amount will be charged once per service request. For example, if your customer creates an order service that has two returns and one exchange, then the order service will be considered an exchange order service and the exchange amount will be deducted from the total.
To access and configure the Shipping Methods, follow these steps:
-
Go to Configure>Shipping in your merchant dashboard.
-
Click on Manage under Shipping Methods.
-
Click the pencil icon next to Prepaid Return Shipping Label.
Below are a list of the available Shipping Methods and the configurations for each of them.
In this shipping method, your customer will handle the shipping from their end. The customer bears the shipping cost, and the product travels at their discretion. We don't ask the customer to share the transit information, so until the product arrives at the warehouse, we have no insight into the whereabouts of the returned items.
You can toggle this method on and off. You can also charge the customer an additional amount if they select this method. The charges can be different for returns and exchanges.
-
Set as Default: If you make this the shipping method, this will be pre-selected when your customers try to return or exchange.

These charges will be flat rates, i.e., the same amount will be charged to the customer regardless of where they send the product from.

The shipping amount deduction depends on whether or not you have dynamic shipping rates enabled for your store. If dynamic shipping rates are enabled, then the fee you specify in the shipping methods won't be used. In this case, the deduction will be decided on amounts you configured in your service carrier config for different SLAs here: π οΈ Carrier Configuration: Add a Carrier.
